Halo 3 by Bungie as seen by a 57 year old

My son and I have been playing 1st person shooter games since Doom came out back in the early 90's. Just this past weekend Eddie got a new X-Box 360 and so we immediately ran to BestBuy to get Halo 3. After all, why else do you want an X-Box 360 except to play Halo 3?
I had to play pool that same night so it must have been last Thursday December 13th, that this all came down. We set up the X-Box 360, we set up our profiles and we played Halo 3 for about an hour and a half. I then had to switch to practicing pool for my play off game and it was not easy to break away from Halo 3 even as much as I love to play pool. I did manage to win that 9 ball match last Thursday night, beating an APA Skill Level 8 with a score of 55 to 38 which gave me a match score of 16 to 4 over that 8! I give Halo 3 partial credit for instilling in me the killer instinct...he he.
The graphics are great and playing this game in HD is like no other video game I ever played. The creators have truly created an amazing experience in video action games with Halo 3. I am so amazed at the improvement that I have to just wait a while longer to talk about the specifics. Once I have played enough to actually have an educated opinion on the subject I'll write more about it.
